Shot types

This shot types video was beneficial in showing off my current knowledge of camera positioning. By creating a short video of shot types, it helped me to put into practise everything I have learnt about how to use a camera. I think I have done a decent job in showing how each of the camera angles/shots are carried out. I think that if I had made the actions inside the shots more interesting I could've made it look a bit better. This short video was also a good way to test my existing editing skills. I attempted to apply different effects to different parts of the video as a test of creativity. From this I've learnt that I will need to learn more about editing later on in my course. This video allowed me to play around with Premiere Pro and try different filters and settings.

Sound syncing

This sound syncing task was a great way to test my editing skills. I recorded a video using a camera but I also recorded the audio using a microphone. I uploaded the footage onto Adobe Premiere Pro and stripped the video of its audio. Afterwards, I uploaded the audio from the mic and synced so that it was in tune with the actions taking place. I used noises such as; typing, scrunching and water shaking. The hardest part of the sound syncing task was making sure that the audio from the part of when I was talking matched my mouth movements. I think that from this task I have improved on sound syncing but it has also given me an insight into recording foley, which will definitely help me on later in the course.
