In order to create this flash banner I was given a step-by-step guide. The purpose of following the guide gave me an insight into the difficulties of piecing together a flash banner. The guide taught us how to piece together the flash animation by adding 3 different pictures, which firstly needed to be imported into the library.

After doing this, I had to adjust the alpha settings of each of the frames so that they would fade in and out correctly. We also had to add classic tweens to make the animation smoother. This step was repeated 2 more times to ensure that the transition between the two images was fine.

I then had to create a new layer labelled "Buttons". I used the rectangle tool to draw out 3 rectangles and coloured the centre white. I changed the 3 buttons into symbols and renamed them to put them in numerical order.
Final and the most difficult part of all of the steps was coding the buttons to correspond with the different images of the flash banner. I had to associate each of the buttons with one of the 3 specified images to make the flash banner interactive. This was the trickiest stage but the most rewarding as it brought the banner to life.
