Evaluation

It took a while to make the script as I wanted the characters to fit the scene perfectly. I believe my biggest fault to be the length of the actual script which impacted heavily on the podcast. At 875 words long the script allowed for the podcast to be just over 3 minutes. Although short, the podcast would be the right length for the audience so that they wouldn't bored with it in comparison to other podcasts that can stretch up to 10 minutes to and hour.

My actors carried out their roles to a good degree. I believe they fit the characters they were given. One major issue in terms of the voice acting was the frequent grammatical errors and stutters. Thankfully. I was able to edit out most of the stutters by splitting some of the quotes in audition to make them sound more fluent. Another issue that was quite prominent within the majority of the voice recordings was that the volume was low. In order to overcome this issue I had to increase the volume of the voice recordings and decrease the volume of the video game sound effects so that they wouldn't be too loud for the audience. The decreased volume of the sound effects allowed for the voice recordings to be more easily heard than before.

My sound effects were relatively hard to find. I had to find the right sound effects relevant to the game in the podcast. In order to do this I had to look closely on youtube to find exactly what I needed. Some of the sound effects that I found were of a low quality so I had to look for alternative audio files. Another difficulty that I faced with sound effects was finding the correct places to play them within audition. I had to make sure that none of the sound effects overlapped any of the voice recordings at the wrong points. I think that I could've added more game sound effects to help blur the line the between reality and the virtual world. I added the "round 1" and "round 2" sound effects to help signify a change in location so that the audience wouldn't get confused.
